Llanrhystud Bridge is centrally located in the village, within the parish boundary on the A487 in the county of Ceredigion, nine miles South of Aberystwyth and six miles North of Aberaeron, Wales.
Llanrhystud Bridge photo description
Originally built of stone with an arch spanning the River Wyre, the humpback bridge was later replaced and its course altered and widened to accommodate modern transport. In the photo we see three adults leaning on metal iron railings while looking into the waters below, with a distant view of houses opposite the Black Lion Hotel including the former pub the Red Lion. At some time after the 1940s (compared to the earlier bridge photo) the bridge parapet walls were removed and replaced with railings as seen in this photo with the stone arch of the bridge remaining.
