Old Llanrhystud Bridge photo description

Originally built of stone with an arch spanning the River Wyre, the humpback bridge was later replaced and its course altered and widened to accommodate modern transport. In the photo we see Severn young children sitting on the side wall with feet dangling over the river while playing possibly fishing the waters below from the old village bridge, with distant views of trees up the river, Moelivor Terrace and houses opposite the Black Lion Hotel. The black and white image suggests it was taken around 1940s.
